Chelsea have been awarded more penalties in the league than Manchester United now.. Funny how no one seems to be talking about the amount of penalties clubs get recently.. Apparently if it’s not Manchester United then no one cares.
Sir Alex Ferguson 3-peating the league from 07-09, reaching three UCL Finals in four seasons and being a point + GD away from winning seven titles in a row whilst not being able to replace key members of his team is one of the most remarkable achievements of his career. From 2006-13, we suffered a gross amount of injuries defensively but he wasn't able to buy a top class CB or RB, we suffered in midfield but he wasn't able to buy a top class CM and we lost Ronaldo but never replaced him with top class quality.
Yet, we won what we won. This is important to recognise, too, because the signs of what the Glazers would become were all there. Ferguson was not able to replace quality with quality except on the odd occasion and it eventually led to his final team in 12/13 needing to make historic comebacks to win.It is unsurprising what has happened from 2013-present.
This was coming since 2005.
My fear is if they don't back Ole we'll be back to square one.
Luke Shaw basically just said live on Sky Sports that the referee was going to give the penalty but decided not to because he was too scared of what people were going to say about the decision. Is having a negative iq a requirement for being a PL referee?
